How the estimate is calculated

The calculator uses an approximate heat demand per square metre assigned to the selected building condition, then adjusts it for ceiling height, number of floors and, for air-to-air, sun exposure. It gives a ±15 % range and selects products according to the capacity range listed in the catalogue. Hot water demand is shown as an additional specification requirement, rather than simply added to the building's design heating load.

The result is indicative only. This is not a calculation in accordance with LST EN 12831-1 and does not replace a heat loss or cooling load calculation, a design, the manufacturer's technical tables or a site inspection. The final capacity and model must be confirmed individually.

Underfloor heating pipe calculator

An indicative estimate of pipe length and number of circuits for one room. State the one-way distance to the manifold; supply and return runs are included for each circuit.

This is not a heat loss or hydraulic design. An 80–100 m circuit in 16 mm pipe is a practical guideline, not an absolute limit. The actual permissible length also depends on the internal diameter, flow, temperatures, pressure losses and manufacturer's data. The calculator's 90 / 100 / 120 m guidelines are not guaranteed maximum lengths.
