Ventilation

Ventilation and heat recovery for homes and premises

Proper ventilation helps manage humidity, air quality and heat loss.

Why controlled air exchange is needed

Simply opening windows is not always enough in an airtight building. Moisture and odours build up in kitchens, bathrooms and other wet rooms, while carbon dioxide levels rise in living spaces. A ventilation solution needs to remove stale air and supply fresh air without creating unpleasant draughts or unnecessary noise.

Parts of the solution

We assess airflow rates, duct routes, air intake and exhaust locations, diffusers, noise attenuation, condensate drainage and filter maintenance access. A heat recovery system can recover some heat from extracted air, but its performance depends on correct design, installation, balancing and maintenance. Selecting equipment solely by floor area is not enough.

When to plan

For new construction, ventilation routes should be planned before ceilings and other structures are closed up. During renovation, we look for routes that minimise changes to room height and finishes. We also check whether a kitchen extractor, stove, fireplace or other air-consuming equipment could create an unwanted pressure difference.

Details we can clarify later

Briefly describe which rooms need ventilation and what you want to achieve, and leave one contact method for a reply. Later we can clarify room use, ceiling heights, occupancy and possible positions for equipment and ducts. If floor plans, photos, a design or equipment documents are needed, we will agree how to provide them. File uploads are neither required nor available in this form.

Filter replacement and maintenance intervals depend on the equipment, outdoor air and use. Follow the specific manufacturer's instructions and do not wait until airflow drops substantially or noise increases.
