Uponor offers solutions for water supply, heating and cooling, but this does not mean that every pipe from the manufacturer suits every task. Selection needs to consider the purpose of the specific system, its pipes, fittings and installation requirements. A drinking water system and an underfloor heating circuit perform different functions. S01
Customers should ask not only which brand of pipes will be used, but which system. The quotation should make clear which fittings are proposed, where shut-off points will be and how serviceable assemblies can be accessed. A pipe's outside diameter alone does not tell you whether another component is compatible.
It is worth having a fixture layout before installation. This helps plan the water supply, avoid unnecessarily long pipe runs and allow for future maintenance. Once work is complete, obtain information about the system used, the testing performed and the location of concealed pipe routes.
Before ordering: provide a floor plan and a list of intended fixtures. Treat material selection as a coordinated system solution, not a collection of the cheapest individual parts.
